Sink.

What were bulwarks once, have turned obstacles.
What were convictions, have become weaknesses.
Unscathed and alone.

convictions rarely remain as one grows older and learns. the longer we hold on to them, the more stupid we feel when our convictions fail us. after a while, all of it all - convictions, weaknesses - just form part of a heterogeneous mix in one fluid mass, the composition of which keeps changing with each moment, each experience.
